The Exchange International Education Class (EIEC) approach also colors the way we view evaluation. We favor progressive assessment moments that aim to be learning moments at the service of your education and further career.
You can determine your level of mastery at particular points in the program by participating in a variety of evaluative activities. In this way you can effectively plan the way ahead.
Assessment
All the courses come as seminars. Your participation is assessed throughout the entire program and in different ways. It takes into account the following:
- active participation in the lectures, projects, excursions, etc.
- written reports on well-defined topics
- presentations and poster sessions
- a portfolio on teaching practice
- 360° feedback and Feedback Café (see below)
- final paper
Feedback Café
Every other week, you participate in meetings of the Feedback Café. While socializing with each other, you are given the opportunity to ventilate your feelings, to discuss do's and don’ts, loves and hates, etc. These meetings take place at varying locations and can include cultural activities.
Grading
Your performance for the EIEC will be assessed from the perspective of competency-based education. We look not only at what you have learned theoretically, but also at what your experience has meant for your general development and how you apply it.
Certificate
At the end of the EIEC a certificate and an official transcript is awarded to those students who have completed the program successfully.
