Getting to Vesalius Campus

Busses passing by in the vicinity of Vesalius Campus

• The busses 3, 4, 5, 6, 597, and 555 stop right in front of Group T (‘Campus Vesalius’ stop)—bus number 4, 5, and 6 stop at Group T and at the train station.
• The busses 7, 8, 9, 380, and 558 stop just 200 meters away from the campus ('Maria Theresiastraat' stop)

You can take a direct connection from Brussels or from the international airport in Zaventem to Leuven. This should not take longer than 30 minutes. For schedules and online tickets, check the website of the NMBS, the Belgian public railway services: www.nmbs.be.

The trainstation is a 10-minute walk from Vesalius Campus. (You can also take bus 4, 5, or 6 to get to Vesalius Campus from the train station.)

Directions from the train station

• Leave the station via the city center exit. Right in front of the station is a lane lined with trees leading up to the town hall (of which you can see the Gothic spires in the distance). This is Bondgenotenlaan. To the left of Bondgenotenlaan, is Maria Theresiastraat. This is the street you need to enter.
• Walk straight ahead on Maria Theresiastraat for about 10 minutes. You cross 4 streets. At the last 2 crossings, there are lights.
• After the third crossing, Maria Theresiastraat becomes Vesaliusstraat. By now, you should see the flag standards outside of Vesalius Campus to your left.

If you are using a GPS, make sure to enter Andreas Vesaliusstraat.

Directions from Brussels

• Take the E40 east towards Liege.
• Take the exit for the E314, direction Aachen.
• Take the first exit from the E314 to Leuven. Follow this highway to the Leuven beltway. You will recognize the beltway by the small overpass.
• Just before the overpass, turn right and follow the beltway.
• Drive through the set of lights at Naamsepoort, and take a left at the next set of lights, Parkpoort, into Parkstraat.
• Drive toward the center of town and take the first right. This is the Brabançonnestraat.
• Take the second right off the roundabout (straight through) and then take the first street left. This is the Dekenstraat. Just over halfway up the street on the right side is the entrance to the Vesalius Campus underground parking lot.
