In general the goals of the academic master programs are to:
- give the future engineer a general academic education;
- impart on the future engineer advanced knowledge and competence in Engineering, Enterprising, Educating, Environmenting, and Ensembling and—more specifically—in the chosen major;
- impart the required research skills;
- train the future engineer to be capable to start work as a master. In other words, prepare him/her for practising science and technology autonomously, using the acquired knowledge and competence in the engineering profession and marking off a lifelong learning and development path.
