Application Procedure

STEP 1: Your personal application file

All international students are required to hand in an application file (the completed application form and required documents). We will accept applications till May 2012. A checklist with required documents has been added to the application form (pdf, 129 K).

Once you have gathered all the documents and completed your file, send it to:

We will notify you by e-mail upon reception of your file. Only completed files will be considered. Note that extra documents might be required for individual cases.

The completed file is then handed over to the Admission Board who are to make a decision on your admission. This should take no longer than six weeks. At this point, you might be asked to sit an interview as part of the application procedure.

Once the Admission Board has reached a decision, you will be informed via e-mail. If your application has been approved, you will receive an admission letter via registered mail shortly after.

Non-EU residents generally require a student visa for Belgium. Check the website of the Belgian Foreign Affairs Department first to see whether you need to apply for one.
