Surprise About the Practical Approach

Divina Edas

Divina Edas comes from Baguio City in the Philippines. “The priest who baptized me is Belgian and so are my godparents. When they found out that I was finishing my bachelor in civil engineering, they suggested that I come and study in Belgium. After a short search, I stumbled upon Group T’s website, and decided to go there.”

A lot of practice

“I truly like how everything is very practice-based. The study and teaching methods turned out to be quite different from what I was used to. For instance, while you have several exams in the Philippines for each course—a bit like the American system—there is only one exam per course at Group T.”

Not typical

“I live with my godparents, so pretty much everything is arranged for me: no need to worry about dirty laundry or cooking. And I don’t feel the urge to go to bars, in that way I don’t live a typically Belgian student’s life.”
