TEDx Leuven: Discuss and Connect

TED is finally coming to Leuven! Listen to and share ideas worth spreading during this half-day conference partnered by Group T.

• Filip Maertens on using smart-phones as a smart-agent.
• Dixie Dansercoer on climate change and why to chase for seemingly impossible dreams.
• Fabiaan Van Vrekhem on different ways of handling complexity and how to use these to create value.
• Herman Konings on new trends for the next decade.
• Patrick Crehan on the social robot and its role in our lives.
• Julien Penders will demonstrate a brain wave device and explain how to use it in real-life applications.
• Bart Becks on how individuals can make a difference in the global village.

Leuven's train and bus station is only 2 minutes away, or you can park your car in the underground parking lot (at a fee). The TEDx website also offers a carpooling tool.

If you want to attend the conference, you first have to pre-register via the TEDx Leuven website. Students pay €9; professionals €29.

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. The annual TED Conference invites the world's leading thinkers and doers. Their talks are then made available, free, at TED.com. In this spirit, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that combines TEDTalks video and live speakers to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
