Footsteps of Science

As of recent you do not even have to enter the Group T building to start your learning adventure; you can begin right outside, on the pavement. Vesalius Campus has become one of the stops on the free, scientific Leuven walking tour, Aha! Footsteps of Science (Wetenstappen).

Footsteps of Science

Passion for gaming
During the walk you come across 23 signs with scientific questions and answers in 5 languages. This year's theme is Passion. Being passionate about gaming, Group T's e-Media lab came up with an answer to the question Are Computer Games a Good Way to Learn?

Tour
As you tour Leuven and its immediate environs, you not only learn more about science, but you also get an overview of the city's educational institutes and historical buildings. The tour keeps you going for 15 kilometers, which you can do at your own leisure. You can of course also bike along the route. The information on the signs is accesible for young and old alike.

Aha! Footsteps of Science
Aha! Footsteps of Science is a collaboration between the tourism board, the university, and the university colleges of Leuven. They regularly map out a new, free scientific walking route. 2009 sees the fourth edition of this initiative to popularize science.
