Thomas Sterken New Industria President

Thomas Sterken is to become the new president of Industria, the Leuven Engineering College's student union. After a week of intensive campaigning his team OIL (Other Intelligent Life) raked in nearly 60% of the votes.
 

Combining efforts
This doesn't mean, however, that NIL (New Intelligent Life), the opponent, is shoved aside. Thomas and Supinya Piampongsant, NIL's presidential candidate, have joined forces: she will be responsible for 'International Relations' and four of her team members take on the tasks for the syllabus service, culture, sports, and Industria's magazine.

Industria
Industria is one of Leuven's biggest and most active student unions. Come April, the students elect a new student union. For the very first time, an international team (NIL) ran in these elections.
