Group T introduces its new international strategy

India-China-Ethiopia: Connecting and Developing

Group T has been working with China for over 15 years. During the past 3 years, the university college also developed an active academic network in India and Ethiopia. The aim is now to combine the expertise that was gained along the way.

ICE-strategy has to lead to a new dynamic

The synergy that results from combining the expertise should lead to a new dynamic—not just at Group T, but also in the countries involved. This is the core of the new India-China-Ethiopia or ICE-strategy. "What we've learned in China, we will now implement in India and Ethiopia. Enriched by these experiences we will in turn develop new educational projects in China", according to Prof. Dr. Johan De Graeve, President and Chief Executive of the university college and the driving force behind the new international strategy.

The team

As of recent, 3 new faculty members personify the ICE strategy: Dr. Abhishek Dutta from India, Yunhao Hu from China, and Dr. Ataklti Weldeslassie from Ethiopia. Together they will shape and give content to the new strategy. They will be coached by Prof. Guido Vercammen, Member of the Board at Group T and one of the pioneers of the university college's internationalization.
