Logistics Management-student Wins Logistics Award

Geert Van Waeyenbergh and Gao Jinghui

During a visit organized by Group T's International Postgraduate Programs to Supply Chain World, Gao Jinghui, a graduate of the Enterprising program at Group T and currently a student of the Logistics Management program, took part in a competition to optimize a production process.

Gao Jinghui and Geert Waeyenbergh, Academic Coordinator of the International Postgraduate Program in Logistics Management.

The Logistics Management-student was to develop a computer model simulating the production flow as lifelike as possible, from resources to finished product. Gao Jinghui won the competition by a large margin, scoring 20% more than the average contender. Nevertheless, he claims his strategy was quite simple: "To try to make as much profit as possible and to loose as few time as possible."

Supply Chain World is a fair in Brussels where companies whose expertise lies in the logistics domain display their services and products. It offers students from both the Enterprising and the Logistics Management Programs an excellent opportunity to come into contact and communicate with established names in the field.
