Structure

Tha art of teaching

The structure of Group T’s teacher training program is rendered in a framework made up of three large components. The framework gives an overview of how these relate to one another throughout the program:

  • teaching practices: communal projects and internships
  • sources and training sessions: lectures and seminars
  • reflection, and portfolio
The components should be interpreted as so-called educational currents or learning threads that stretch across the entire program and form the basis for lifelong learning.

These threads are interrupted by periods of testing and assessment during which students prove that they command the assumed (partial) competences so as to go to the next phase.

Typical of this model is that, as the program progresses, the share of sources and training sessions diminishes to make more way for project work and internships. This goes along with an increase in the responsibilities of the individual student regarding their own learning process. Thus the way towards becoming a teacher capable of bringing about change is being paved.
