TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM Gains UNESCO QUALITY LABEL

Official member of the global ASP network

Group T–Leuven Education College has become part of Unesco’s Associated Schools Project Network and is the first university college in Flanders to be included. The quality label stipulates that UNESCO Headquarters, too, subscribes to the international and intercultural story being written at Group T.

Ms. Lyvia Saldari, International Coordinator of the ASP network of UNESCO, presents the ASP certificate to Stijn Dhert, dean of GROUP T – Leuven Education College in the presence of Nic Vandermarliere, Representative to the Flemish Government in Paris.

Quality education

Ms Lidia Saldari, International Cordinator of the ASP network of UNESCO, was particularly excited to be able to welcome Group T–Leuven Education College as a new member. “Your university college's program reflects what ASPnet is all about. The curriculum of the Postgraduate International Educating Class is built up according to UNESCO’s Four Pillars of Education.” She invited the university college to play a central role of the network in Flanders.

The network

The ASP network, established in 1953, reaches millions of children and teachers. Its purpose is to carry out UNESCO’s fundamental ideas: support for quality education, and advancement of world peace, freedom, justice, and development.
