Engineering Experience 3 (EE3): Make Stuff Work

"Build a machine operating on sensors and driven by a PC." This was the task students from the 2nd program stage Industrial Sciences were set. From the 50-some teams, 10 were selected to present their project to the public at large.

The 10 robots

Tengja Fjórir

The winning team, Tengja Fjórir, developed an automated version of the well-known Connect 4 game allowing you to compete with a computer.

The Cocktailmakers

The Cocktailmakers (cocktail shakers) devised a mixing machine for drinks that automatically adds the correct ingredients to a shaker.

CSGroep

CSGroep made their own container terminal for onloading ships and stacking them on top of each other.

Ballista

Ballista's device looks for a target and tries to hit it with a marble.

Think a Bell

Think a Bell is a robot that plays a programmed tune. The program module reads the melody from a card and enters it into the memory.

Team Fire Guys

Team Fire Guys constructed an intelligent fire fighter. Its webcam detects the fire, moves towards it, and extinguishes the fire.

Tricko's plotter

Tricko's plotter prints an image that was loaded into the memory. The machine also works on an uneven surface.

|random

@random is an intelligent beer pourer. Baed on a bottle's height, the robot selects the correct glass and pours the beer.

Amartmice

Smartmice developed a drinks game that pours two glasses of wine and registers which of the two players puts back his or her glass first and thus wins.

Genius

Genius is a machine that automatically puts dominos in a row.
